What is the Anevis mindset?
It's more than simply wearing a sports skirt
At Anevis we recognize and celebrate individual excellence without compromising on our core values of community and humility.
Hamama Jarban, Sheina Vaspi, and Beattie Deutch are examples of women who embody the Anevis ideal in their own ways.
- A surfer, lifeguard, and feminist icon all in one, Hamama is outspoken in her drive to imbue elite sports with a greater sense of modesty. In that vein, her latest campaign (in partnership with Adidas) highlights Hijabs and other modest wear worn by the girls at her surfing school.
- Sheina was the first ever Israeli paralympic skier to compete at the Olympic games. A tragic car accident didn’t stop her from getting to the top of her game. Certainly then, the moment wouldn’t lead her to stray from her values. And so, in every run down the slopes, she chooses to wear a skirt.
- Beattie, an elite marathoner, qualified for the 2020 Olympics while wearing a knee-length skirt in all her races. Even more remarkable is the fact she achieved all this while raising five children. In a recent interview, Beattie put it simply, “I’m doing something I love while being there for my family.”
“I’m doing something I love while being there for my family.”
Each of these women possesses a unique mindset, that is, the attitude that comes with wearing an Anevis skirt. Each cares about making a larger impact on the world, and yet recognizes the importance of modesty, personal choice and empowerment.
Hamama, Sheina and Beattie are just some of the women who inspire our work at Anevis, and we hope they will likewise inspire you.
